FGSCAA’s leadership structure is designed to provide institutional continuity, accountable decision-making and effective day-to-day administration in accordance with the Association’s Constitution and current governance framework.
The seven Trustees serve as ex-officio, non-voting members of the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors brings together the eight elected Executive Committee officers and the six Standing Committee Chairmen as voting Directors, with the seven Trustees participating ex-officio without a vote on operational matters.

The Executive Committee provides the day-to-day leadership and administration of FGSCAA and implements approved policies, programmes and decisions.
6 Committees
The Standing Committees support the Association’s work in finance, welfare, projects, social engagement, membership development and career/business development.
The Board of Directors ensures that executive leadership, committee leadership and institutional continuity are all represented while maintaining a clear distinction between voting Directors and ex-officio Trustees.

Each of the six Standing Committee Chairmen is a voting member of the Board of Directors.
FGSCAA’s current governance framework separates institutional trusteeship from executive administration. The Executive Committee manages the day-to-day affairs of the Association, the Board of Directors provides governance and oversight, the Standing Committees support specialised functions, and the Trustees provide institutional continuity within the constitutional framework.
FGSCAA’s governance structure has evolved over time. Earlier arrangements, transitional BOT stewardship periods and historical committee structures remain part of the Association’s institutional history but do not override the current 2026 governance framework.
