Who We Are

FGSCAA is the alumni association of the 1998 graduating class of Festac Grammar School.

The Association exists to preserve lifelong bonds among classmates while supporting Festac Grammar School, its students, members of the Association and the wider community through educational, charitable, social and developmental initiatives.

Since its establishment in 2016, FGSCAA has developed from an alumni reunion platform into a structured institution with an elected leadership system, Board of Trustees, Board of Directors, Standing Committees, member groups, documented financial and governance processes, school-support projects, welfare programmes, scholarships and community outreach.

Our Story

On 16 February 2016, members of the Festac Grammar School Class of 1998 began discussing the creation of an alumni association that could reconnect former classmates and build a lasting relationship with their alma mater.

The early group used WhatsApp as its initial communication platform and began developing the structure, constitution and legal framework for the Association.

In March 2016, the inaugural general meeting was held in Festac Town, Lagos. The early Trustees were ratified and preparations began for formal registration, elections and the development of the Association’s first projects.

FGSCAA was incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission on 12 August 2016.

From the beginning, the Association combined fellowship with service — supporting Festac Grammar School, creating educational opportunities, strengthening member connections and developing an institutional structure intended to endure beyond any individual administration.
