In December 2025, members of the Festac Grammar School Class of 1998 Alumni Association came together for the Association’s Second Homecoming Reunion, marking 27 years since graduation and FGSCAA’s 9th anniversary. Under the theme “Rekindle the Flame,” the programme brought together service, health and wellness activities, education support, fellowship, awards and celebration.
The Homecoming reflected a tradition that had increasingly come to define FGSCAA gatherings: reconnecting with classmates while also giving back to the wider community and supporting the next generation.

Community Outreach — Day 1
The Second Homecoming Reunion opened with service to the community. As part of the reunion programme, members visited the Spinal Cord Injuries Association of Nigeria and Beth Torrey Home, presenting mobility aids, personal-care supplies, food items and other support materials.
The outreach reflected FGSCAA’s practice of beginning Homecoming with community service before the social and reunion activities that followed.
Sports, Games & Fellowship — Day 1
After the morning community outreach, the Homecoming programme moved to FHA Field for an afternoon of health, wellness, games and fellowship. Alumni took part in light fitness activities, track events, skipping, football and other recreational exercises, creating space for laughter, friendly competition and renewed connection among classmates.

Education & Scholarship — Day 2
Education remained an important part of the Second Homecoming programme. During the 20 December gathering, FGSCAA presented tuition-support awards under its Education & Scholarships Endowment Project, reinforcing the Association’s commitment to supporting students connected to its alma mater and wider educational mission.
Each of the documented scholarship presentations carried tuition support of ₦100,000.
Reunion Dinner, Awards & Celebration — Day 2
The formal reunion dinner brought the Homecoming weekend together in an evening of reflection, recognition and celebration. Members gathered in coordinated green attire to mark 27 years since graduation and the Association’s 9th anniversary.
The evening included commemorative moments, awards and recognition, group photographs, speeches, entertainment and fellowship, providing a fitting close to the principal Homecoming programme.
Rekindling the Flame
The 2025 Second Homecoming Reunion brought together the different dimensions of FGSCAA life: service, education, health and wellness, friendship, recognition and celebration. Twenty-seven years after graduation, the Class of 1998 returned not simply to remember the past, but to strengthen the relationships and shared purpose that continue to shape the Association.
The principal Homecoming activities took place on 19 and 20 December, with an additional family-friendly meet-and-greet forming part of the wider reunion programme on 21 December 2025.
